Monitoring API Errors

To monitor failed API requests and their causes, use the Errors page. It shows the number of errors over time, a breakdown of errors by endpoint and error code, and the details of each failed request.

The page includes failed requests sent with your default and additional tokens. Requests sent with the Sandbox token are not included.

1. Tracking Errors

To get an overview of errors for the selected period, use the two sections at the top of the page:

  • API Errors: A chart of errors per day, with a separate line for each endpoint.
  • Error Breakdown: The error codes and the number of errors for each endpoint. The total number of errors is displayed in the top-right corner of the section.

The date range field at the top of the page sets the period for the whole page, including the chart, the Error Breakdown section, and the Detailed Information table. To change the period, press the field and select a preset, or set custom start and end dates, then press Apply.

2. Investigating an Error

To view the details of an error or find a specific task (a single API request), use the Detailed Information table below the Error Breakdown section.

For each task, the table shows its ID, date and time, function, internal status code, status message, HTTP URL, and HTTP code. The function is the internal name of the endpoint, for example, market.index for v1/market/index.

To find a specific task, enter its ID in the search field. The ID matches the task_id field of the API response.

For the full list of status codes and messages, see the API Errors & Status Codes guide↗.

2.1. Working with the Table

You can:

  • Filter the table by any column using the filter icon next to its name.
  • Show or hide columns with Column Chooser.
  • Download the table in CSV or XLSX format with Export.

The table also supports pagination.

Note that times are shown in your profile time zone. If it differs from your browser time zone, an asterisk appears next to the time. You can change the time zone in Preferences↗.
