Accounts & Plans
FinImpulse offers two access modes:
- Dashboard plans: Free, Basic, Premium, Unlimited — unlock deeper data, more extended history, and advanced tools (screeners, watchlists, exports).
- API access: usage-based billing (pay per request and/or returned data volume, depending on the endpoint).
For full details, please visit the Pricing page.
Yes, both products are linked to a single FinImpulse ID. You can switch seamlessly between the dashboard and API usage panel.
You can change your plan in the Billing section. Changes apply according to your billing settings and plan rules shown at checkout.
Yes.
- Dashboard: a one-time 5-day Premium trial (once per account).
- API: Each new account receives $1 in trial credit to test endpoints. Once the balance is used, requests are paused until funds are added.
Your account data remains available after downgrading. Some premium features may become unavailable. If you upgrade again, access to paid features is restored according to your plan.
You can downgrade or cancel anytime:
- Dashboard: You can switch to the Free plan from the Billing section.
- API: You can stop topping up the balance or disable Auto-Recharge (if enabled). When the balance is depleted, API requests are automatically paused.
FinImpulse payments are securely processed through FastSpring. Available methods vary by region and may include credit cards, PayPal, and local payment options. Taxes/VAT are calculated where applicable.
All payments are processed in USD. If you pay in a currency other than the local currency, the amount is automatically converted at the exchange rate prevailing at the time of payment by our payment provider.
Refunds and billing adjustments are processed in accordance with our payment provider’s policies. For billing-related questions, please contact our support team.
Using the Dashboard
You can search by company or fund name, ticker symbol, or apply filters across 30+ parameters — such as sector, market capitalization, performance, valuation ratios, or dividend yield.
FinImpulse instantly finds and groups matching assets by type (stocks, ETFs, funds, indexes), helping you identify exactly what you’re looking for.
A Watchlist is a list of tickers you chose to follow — just click the star icon next to any asset to add it.
A Screener is a saved set of filters that helps you find assets matching specific criteria — either predefined by FinImpulse or fully custom, created by you..
Click the star icon next to an asset and select one or more watchlists. You can also create a new watchlist from the same dialog. To remove an asset, uncheck the target watchlists and confirm.
Currently, you can compare any asset with the primary market indexes — S&P 500, NASDAQ, or DOW. All comparisons are normalized to USD for accurate performance alignment.
We’re working on an extended comparison mode that will let you add and visualize multiple custom tickers on the same chart.
CSV/XLSX/JSON export is available depending on your plan. Premium plans may include additional export options such as custom columns.
API Usage & Data Access
When you open the API panel, a default token is created automatically. You can also create multiple tokens for different environments (e.g., Production, Staging) and manage them in API Settings.
In the Knowledge Base → API Documentation section, or directly at developers.finimpulse.com.
The API returns JSON responses with ISO-8601 timestamps (UTC).
Each new API account receives $1 in trial credit to test endpoints. Once the credit is used, you can top up your balance to continue using the API.
Open the Usage tab in your API dashboard to track all activity in real time. You’ll see:
- total expenses and usage dynamics over time;
- detailed task logs with request ID, endpoint, timestamp, cost, and response status;
- average turnaround time for each request.
You can also export usage reports in CSV or XLSX format and filter them by date range.
Go to Billing → Budget Limits to set a daily spending cap for API usage.
You can also configure an email notification that alerts you when usage reaches a selected percentage of the daily limit (for example, 80%).
Once the daily limit is reached, API requests are paused until the limit resets or you update your budget settings. This helps you control costs and prevent unexpected charges.
The API dashboard includes error visibility for failed requests (status and request context). You can filter and export logs where available to support debugging.
The FinImpulse API covers all major asset classes, including:
- Stocks — global equities across 98 exchanges
- ETFs — exchange-traded funds with complete composition and performance data
- Mutual Funds — NAV, category returns, and Morningstar-style metrics
Each asset type includes structured endpoints for quotes, fundamentals, performance, and news.
Submit a request via the Help Center (Feature Request) or email support@finimpulse.com with the subject [API Feature Request] and include your intended use case.
Please include a brief description of the dataset or endpoint you require, along with your intended use case. This helps us prioritize new additions in future updates.
Data & Coverage
FinImpulse aggregates data from 98 global stock exchanges — covering North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. You’ll find listings from NYSE, NASDAQ, LSE, Euronext, Tokyo, HKSE, Frankfurt, TSX, NSE India, ASX, B3 Brazil, and many more.
Corporate actions — including dividends, splits, mergers, and IPOs — are updated automatically within hours of official filings or exchange disclosures. Each event is timestamped and linked to its related asset in the /corporate_actions and /events endpoints.
FinImpulse aggregates data from public sources, official filings, and third-party providers. Datasets are standardized and updated as new information becomes available. Market data is provided “as is” for informational purposes and is not financial advice.
Yes. FinImpulse provides access to fundamental data (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow), as well as news and corporate events aggregated from verified sources. Selected assets also include sentiment indicators, which reflect the general market tone and reactions.
All datasets are available through dedicated API endpoints and corresponding dashboard sections. Availability and update frequency can vary depending on the asset type and data provider.
FinImpulse supports USD normalization for consistent cross-market comparison. Normalization is available in both the API and Dashboard.
Historical coverage in FinImpulse extends up to 30 years, depending on the asset type and the availability of exchange data. Depth may vary — some assets include shorter records, while major global equities and indexes have the most extended continuous history.
Security & Technical
All FinImpulse services operate over secure HTTPS connections and utilize token-based authentication to safeguard user access and API activity. We follow industry-standard practices for data privacy and account security.
Yes, all API requests must use HTTPS and a valid API token. Additional authentication methods, such as OAuth 2.0, may be introduced in future updates.
We aim to maintain continuous uptime. Planned maintenance or system updates are announced in advance, and redundant infrastructure helps minimize interruptions.
You’ll be automatically logged out after an inactive period for security reasons. Simply sign in again to continue working.
You can report any issue directly through the Help Center or the “Report Issue” button in the dashboard. Please include the asset symbol or endpoint name to help us resolve the issue more quickly.
FinImpulse processes personal data to provide access to accounts and service functionality. Our privacy practices are outlined in the Privacy Policy and Terms.
